Troop 82 honors our nations military

This past Memorial Day, 15 boy scouts from Troop 82 in Elmhurst, spent part of their holiday weekend remembering those who served. The scouts placed 350 flags on the gravesites of military veterans buried in Elm Lawn and Arlington cemeteries, in Elmhurst. In addition, they placed flowers and wreaths at various military memorials erected within the gardens.  A visiting military veteran also stopped to show his appreciation for the scouts and their efforts.

This annual event has become a great way to give back and says “thanks” to those who gave their lives for our freedom.
